Butter Pat Pleats and Corset Lacing

I slipcovered all the furniture in the living room except one chair for this customer.  I love the details she chose.  She wanted the butter pat pleats on the sofa, chair and ottoman then she wanted the two matching side chairs to have contrasting cording and a corset lacing detail on back. Fun, fun, fun!

 She also ordered the pet covers for the sofa and the exposed wood chair. Here is a picture of the pet cover over the seat cushions of the sofa. I am pretty sure the pet cover was on the exposed wood chair in all the pictures above.

I am excited to share my new care labels I purchased from Dutch Label Shop.  All my slipcovers will have these care labels attached. I will be talking more about the care labels in the future.

Brown Leather to Blue Cotton: Slipcover Over Leather

Here is a perfect example of a slipcover done over a leather sofa.  This sofa was the perfect candidate for a slipcover.  The cushions were all loose and in great condition. The slipcover really brightens the living room.  The royal blue was chosen from the color in the rug and the side chair (not pictured).

My customer has the two cutest Great Dane's, Evie and Elsie.  I recommended the pet cover for convenient frequent cleanings.  Pictures and explanation of pet cover are shown below.

The pet cover simply goes over the seat cushions and the T-cushions tuck inside the ends.   This is so much more convenient for pet owners.  No need to unzip and remove cushion covers for washing.  Simply pull off the 1 piece pet cover from the T-cushion ends and throw in washer.  Company is coming over and no time to wash the slipcover?  Just remove the pet cover to reveal clean cushions underneath.

Pet Friendly Striped Slipcover

The internet is amazing!  My customer's sister is from Texas and found me online to make her sister a slipcover in the Cleveland area.   She was helping her sister decorate her new house and knew she wanted to slipcover her dark sofa for a lighter and fresher look.  She had sent me a picture of a slipcover she had had made and that would be the inspiration for the new slipcover.  Well, I think we hit the nail on the head.  Take a look.

Here is my customer's living room after her sister finished decorating.  I love the pictures above the sofa, the natural rug, lamps and chairs.  Simply beautiful!  I love her decorating style.

 This sofa is from Lazy Boy Furniture.  The seat cushions had become worn on one side and had a dip in the cushions.   She called them and they sent her new seat cushion inserts. You can tell from the previous picture how much thicker the new cushions are in this picture.

Pet Cover Pictures

Here starts the section of my post that shows the type of pet cover I offer.  The pet cover will protect the seat cushions only.  My customer also ordered arm covers.  When her dogs get the pet cover dirty it is much easier to only have to wash the pet cover. She can simply remove the pet cover when expecting company. Voila! Clean cushions.

 This picture shows the pet cover on the seat cushions.  You can barely tell it is there.  

 Here is a picture of how it looks under the cushions.  This design helps keep the pet cover in place.
