Findlay Holiday Home Tour

Main Street looked like Christmas central at the Findlay Holiday Home Tour (minus the snow of course). I snapped a few additional pictures of the slipcovers. I only wish I could have spent more time in this beautiful town.

Although all of the homes were beautiful, I have to admit without bias, my customer's home stood out above the rest.

This is a peak through a doorway into the living room.

My customer's daughter has a blog called Bova Goods and If you would like to see more pictures of the beautiful homes on the tour check out her blog in the next couple days at Bova Goods

White Slipcovers with Mini Knife Pleats

I had a lot of fun working with my latest client. She wanted all white slipcovers with some cute knife pleat details. The wooden arm chair slipcover was inspired by a picture of a slipcover on the Country Living Magazine website.

Her home is going to be featured in the 2009 Biennial Holiday Homes Tour in Findlay, OH.

The slipcovers turned out beautiful!!

Here are some before and after photos. I included close up photos of the knife pleat details.

These Ethan Allen wingchairs were a real challenge to slipcover with the exposed wood and open backs. They have kind of a french country feel to them. I am so happy the way the slipcovers turned out. They are sooooooo beautiful! They are my favorite slipcovers so far.

Here is a picture of the open back with ties.

Beautiful Transformation

This is a great before and after picture. I unzipped the attached cushion and made a separate cushion cover which gave the chair a fresh new look. The customer chose the same fabric as was chosen for the couch slipcover and now the living room looks pulled together. The customer was able to use the furniture she already had which was still in good shape.

Chic Unique

After the Summer Market, I brought the slipcovered furniture back to my workroom. I was really hoping to sell all of it at the show, however I ended up having to bring everything back. I was in desperate need of freeing some space in my workroom, so I called Carrin Andress, owner of Chic Unique in Chagrin Falls, and she agreed to put my slipcovered furniture on consignment in her shop. Chic Unique is a great shop found inside Stash Style at 46 North Main Street, Chagrin Falls, OH. She posseses such great style and carries a wide variety of beautiful vintage items. She usually offers a lot of white painted furniture, which I love. I love everything in her shop. I knew my slipcovers would fit in with her unique style. Not only is it great to clear out my workroom but it is great exposure. Here are some pictures of my slipcovers displayed in her shop.

If you are ever in historic Chagrin Falls, Ohio be sure to visit Stash Style!!

Thank you Carrin!

Here is my niece Cassandra carrying a bag of goodies we bought, and some other views of different areas of Stash Style..

We ended up having great weather. It only rained once in the morning. There was live music, food, and some great vendors providing jewelry, art, aprons, headbands, beautiful custom totes, garden art, antiques, and much more.

Here is all of the furniture that I at my Summer Market booth.

Fernleaf Textured Fabric

The fabric used on this beautiful sofa slipcover is the Natural Fernleaf pattern from Summerhouse Textiles. The fabric became softer and the texture really emerged after washing.

Sunbrella Fabric

Sunbrella has a whole line of fabrics that can be used indoors. My customer chose Sunbrella fabric for it's ease of cleaning in a dining area.
Comfortable, beautiful, and oh so livable, Sunbrella® fabric makes the dining or living room as worry-free as the outdoor room. It's amazingly easy to maintain, and most spills can be cleaned with mild soap and water. For tough stains, bleach can be used without fear of damaging the fabric or removing the color. With this kind of durability, a new 5-year warranty, and a wide variety of styles, what's not to love?

Office Chair Slipcover

Turn your office chair from drab to fab in a fresh new slipcover. The slipcover is made so that it allows the chair to remain fully adjustable. I used Amy Butler's Nigella fabric.
